Under every leaf and bough

there’s a lesson to behold:

A story only the house finch knows

It’s simple

and complex

it comes in fits and starts

listen carefully

watch easily

The Creator’s whisper will unfold

as gentle as any ant

on its hunt for food

or a rabbit’s watchful gaze.

Like fog it comes:

oppressive and mystifying

seemingly hazy and shrouded…

yet even on the darkest night

Its message is clear.

Never lose sight

because there is

Always

Always

some form of Light
